About The Boat Blog

Since I was old enough to stand on a chair by the kitchen sink and play with little toy boats I have had a passion for anything to do with boats and the water. A passion shared by my Dad who built two boats in our basement garage while I was a wee lad. One was a 12 foot rowboat which is now almost 50 years old, and we still use and a 14 foot plywood speedboat which sadly he sold many years ago.

From there we graduated to aluminum boats and outboard motors and even a couple of fibreglass speedboats, one of which, a 17 footer I just sold a couple of years ago.

Today my passion for boats hasn't ended, and I have two aluminum boats, the rowboat I mentioned above and a paddle boat tied to the wharf and am considering another one as I write this.

Here at The Boat Blog, I plan to write about boats and motors, specifically outboard motors and anything boating related.

I hope you will bookmark me and come back often as we talk boats....

I can definitey relate to your passion for boats. My passion has always been anything related to the water, yet I have a fondness for house boats.

When I was young, my father and I built a houseboat, and I was "hooked".

It eventually lead me to liveaboard a houseboat, and now run our information website called www.all-about-houseboats.com

If houseboats peak your curiousity, come by and visit.

Best regards, IAN...

My love of boats is very similar to yours. Since I was 6 years of age, I have owned some kind of a boat. Now a transplant from the Great Lakes area of Michigan to the sunny Southwest, I continue my passion in another way. I have spent the past 13 years as a purchasing manager for one of our country's leading wholesale parts distributors. Now I have begun a new venture on my own in providing the best possible prices for the best possible marine and RV replacement parts that our beloved marine industry can provide. I invite you to visit my site and see if I can help you save money so you can enjoy your freedom on the water or the open road. Still building and adding new products daily, but I will do my best to provide quality service with quality parts and components. Our passion never seems to die, but rather changes ports. Best to all, Thomas
