Sailboats

There is nothing as enteraining to watch as sailboats on a lake, manoeuvering around buoy's and tacking into the wind.

These are a couple of sailboats that probably would be more appropriately called 'yacht's'

Trailering a Boat

If you are like me, and I doubt you are because as my wife says, "you are an original" backing your boat into the water at the marina can be a nightmare, or at the very least embarrassing.

I remember one occasion when I backed my 17 foot bowrider into the water, pushed it off the trailer and then realized, after it got hung up sideways, that the safety rope was still on it. Took several men and a boy along with my wife to fix that little problem...of course my face was as red as a beet and that wasn't because of the exhertion of pushing on the boat....wish I had seen this video first, it would have helped.

This is a typical 'put the boat on the trailer' scene.....

If it wasn't for the english accent on the video I would think this is me....

Boating Safety Video

Here is a cute little video with a message about boating safety, in particular the importance of life jackets...life jackets that fit.
